Class Description

Infographics are a fantastic way to combine a visual appeal to research and the presentation of information.  Let’s learn how your students can create a visually appealing infographic in any class to present any topic that they are researching with clear and easy-to-understand information.

Do you struggle to include hands-on activities or are you a teacher that knows that your students love it when they can add some creativity to research projects but don’t feel like you are getting the results that you envisioned?

I get it!

As an art teacher, I cringe when I walk down the halls and see some of the posters that look like they have forgotten every visual arts concept they have ever learned.  That’s why I started addressing lettering, layout, and infographics in my classes. Infographics are everywhere!

Let’s help students read and decipher them by creating them too!

Coach Expertise

Amy Roadman has been a certified visual arts teacher for 20+ years and believes art and creativity can be taught, that you don’t have to start with innate talent, but a desire to create and practice. By providing opportunities that really focus on the overall experience she has learned how to ease the pressure of creating and allow many people to tap into their creative side and find that it can be really rewarding to do so. Having worked with students and teachers in and out of the art classroom, she has helped others recognize how they can be creative in ways beyond art projects. Amy now works for her state’s artist-in-residence program, visiting classrooms in which teachers of all subjects invite her to incorporate creativity into their curriculum.
