This course is designed to equip educators with the skills and strategies necessary to help their students cope with disappointment in the classroom. Disappointment is a common experience for students, whether it be receiving a low grade on an assignment or not being selected for a leadership role. As such, it is important for educators to help students develop the resilience necessary to navigate these experiences.
The course will also explore the use of mindfulness techniques and creative outlets as tools for coping with disappointment and will provide practical guidance on how to integrate these strategies into the classroom setting. Educators will also have the opportunity to discuss case studies and share experiences with colleagues, as well as to reflect on their own approaches to teaching resilience.
