I entered the world of education as an alternatively certified teacher with a background in social services. I quickly realized that most teachers didn’t know how to develop the types of relationships and community with groups of students that I was used to.
I believe that through creating a positive classroom culture, teachers are able to cultivate impactful relationships with students, and help them feel connected, valued, and cared for. These relationships, combined with student-centered activities set everyone in the classroom up for success.
It is my goal to empower middle school teachers and provide them with the tools they need to build a positive classroom culture, without feeling overwhelmed.
