Currently, Coaches are invited to use our beta platform on a limited basis. We are rolling out new features, testing, and growing. We hope our founding Coaches will be just as excited as we are about building a space for educators to learn together.

When you’re approved to teach on PopPD, you become part of our team of coaches. We will provide supports to help you get your ideas out to the world.

We provide:

• Training on how to create a listing that reflects the quality of your PD experience
• A full listing on our website, including a Coach profile and preview video
• Access to a global community of educators
• Support with video uploads and platform logistics via chat and email
• Milestone celebrations and special surprises just for PopPD Coaches

Teaching on PopPD gives you the opportunity to share your unique ideas and perspectives, all while connecting with like-minded teachers across the globe. If anyone has ever walked into your classroom and asked, “How do you get your students to do that?” you have something worth sharing.

We encourage you to teach on topics you’re passionate about. You have experiences, stories, and alternative approaches to share. You can help broaden the conversation around topics that teachers are interested in.

We require your first PopPD class to be around one hour in total length, so teachers can get a feel for your teaching style and ideologies in a “bite-sized” format. After you see success with this class, we encourage you to post a variety of formats, from workshop to signature courses and ongoing classes… and then make more of what your teachers want! We encourage you to make your classes fun and interactive, as if you were teaching an in-person PD.

Don’t worry if you don’t have this all figured out yet. You bring the ideas and experience, we’ll support you with training and resources to create a meaningful PD experience.

Your earnings depend on the cost for your class. We provide you with pricing guidelines. Classes start at a minimum of $40. There is no limit on the number of teachers who can enroll in your class. You will earn 70% commission on purchases made on our site.

We require Coaches to respond to messages and questions within their PopPD community (hosted on our website) for each class, on a regular basis. Coaches are also required to update class materials at least once per year to remain listed on our site.

We send your payment through Paypal to an email address you specify. You will need to pay tax on your earnings as an independent contractor and report them appropriately.

PopPD is a peer learning platform for educators. We help educators find the professional development opportunities they’re interested in, taught online by an educator they’re inspired by. Our mission is to support the evolution of teaching and learning by bringing a wide variety of teaching ideologies to educators across the globe.

We empower ambitious, innovative educators to broadcast their unique perspectives and ideas using this platform. Through these online learning experiences, we help educators improve their craft, connect with a worldwide community of colleagues, and find continued joy in teaching and learning.

PopPD coaches are fellow educators! They say the best PD comes from visiting the teacher down the hall. PopPD connects teachers from all over the world, so that every inspiring teacher is just “down the hall”.

PopPD classes are open to everyone who works in education. The classes are on-demand, so educators can learn what they need, when they need it.

We provide PopPD Coaches with the training they need to plan, design, produce, and publish their class.

As teachers, we have core standards to address. But we also have opportunities to personalize the learning experience for our students. Teachers need space for personalized learning, too!

Think of our site as an opportunity to give your teachers access to training personalized to their areas of interest or specific needs.

We offer a variety of class formats, with the average class time at around 60 minutes. Many schools like to offer educators the flexibility to complete the training at a time that works best for them, providing additional time to implement the training alongside colleagues during designated professional development hours.

It’s free to browse and preview the classes on PopPD. All classes are priced individually based on the format of the class, with an average class price of around $50. We accept payment for individual classes on our site by credit/debit card, with Stripe or Paypal as our payment processors. 

You can also purchase Gift Cards for your teachers, so they can choose the class that best fits their needs.

PopPD online classes are designed for use by a single educator. Please contact us for group rates.

Teachers will need a computer that can connect to the internet. PopPD works on all major web browsers. 

At this time, all PopPD classes are asynchronous. Classes are paced by the instructor and may be self-paced or dripped out at predetermined intervals. This will be indicated in the class listing.

Teachers will have access to the online class for a minimum of one year. If the instructor chooses to update the materials and apply for a review, this may be extended free of charge. We do this to ensure all classes are up-to-date.
