This page explains what poppd.co collects when you read or comment, why it is collected, and how to ask for it to be removed. It covers the site only. It does not cover what a casino or other operator does with your data once you leave here.
What does this site keep about me?
Two things, in practice: what you type into a comment form, and what the web server records automatically.
When you leave a comment, the WordPress comment form collects your name, your email address, an optional website address, and the text of your comment. The site also records the IP address and browser user agent that submitted the comment. That is standard WordPress behaviour and it is used to screen comments and reduce spam.
The web host keeps standard server logs. These typically include the pages requested, the time of the request, the IP address the request came from, and the browser or device identifier sent with it. These logs exist because the server has to record requests to serve pages and to investigate abuse.
Does the site use analytics, ads or third-party scripts?
No. At the time of writing, poppd.co loads no analytics scripts, no advertising scripts and no third-party scripts of any kind. There is no tracking pixel, no tag manager and no embedded widget pulling code from another company.
What about cookies?
A cookie may be set to remember the details you enter in the comment form, so you do not have to retype your name and email on every post. That is the only cookie this site sets for readers. Your browser controls whether it is stored, and clearing cookies removes it.
How long do comments stay?
Comments stay published for as long as the post is live. If you want a comment removed, you can ask, and it will be taken down. The same applies to the name, email address and other details attached to it.
Who sees this information?
The web host processes the data described above in order to run the site. Nothing collected here is sold, and it is not shared for advertising. Beyond the host, no one else receives it.
How do I ask for my comment or details to be removed?
There is no published email address for the site. Contact happens through the comment form on posts. To request removal:
- Open any post and leave a comment asking for the removal.
- Identify the comment or the name you used so it can be found.
- Check back on the post; the comment will be removed once the request is seen.
If you would rather not post the request publicly, say so in the comment and it will be handled without publishing the request itself. Requests are actioned as quickly as possible.
What law applies?
Personal information handled here is treated in line with Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where that law applies.
Will this policy change?
It may. If the site ever adds a tool that collects something new, this page will be updated to say so before or at the time that change takes effect. The version published here is the one that applies.
